A series of small fields south of the village of Talwrn which have been largely "unimproved" by modern agriculture and retain semi-natural grassland and mire vegetation in a complex mosaic. The western fields at Clegyrdy bach fall within the Corsydd Mon Special Area of Conservation (SAC) for their fen vegetation.
