SGISTIAU GLAS YNYS MÔN / ANGLESEY BLUESCHIST SITE OF SPECIAL SCIENTIFIC INTEREST (SSSI)

This geological site comprises three distinct exposures of metamorphic blueschists near Menai Bridge, Anglesey. The most accessible part is associated with the Marquis of Anglesey's monument, the most visible (but most inaccessible for safety reasons) alongside the A55 dual carriageway and the third on private farmland. Access to the exposures around the Marquis of Anglesey's monument at Llanfairpwllgwyngyll is open to the public (a small charge is levied for access to the column itself). There is a free car park leading from the A4080.
